This year’s National Poetry Day will take place on Thursday 2 October… TODAY!

The theme for 2014 is ‘remember‘.

Recollect those little things ­
Each cup with two sugars in,
Mother’s bright red hat and scarf,
Evergreen trees, bumble bees,
Mirror­-pictures in the bath.
Bring them to life, they will talk
Even if you think them poor ­
Riches grow from every thought.
